Yet out in the country in the states I've noticed EVERYONE moves over to let a truck or any vehicle for that matter merge.

I was shocked/impressed.

i move over all the time to let cars on, but if i cant move over, I OWN THAT LANE!

ultimately its the car whos getting on the highway who has to make it work, thats why they get an acceleration lane.
