So I plastidipped one of my rims. Idk whether I should: take it off because it looks stupid, leave it and do the others because it looks good, or take it off and then do the whole rim because it would look better and be 1000x easier? Thoughts? And yes I know it didn't come out that good lol

tough call man...would need to see moar. is that rim duller on the spokes now too? or is that the lighting? cuz the front rim is super bright compared to the rear.

It looks good, but it looks like when peeled off the tape or whatever you used, it took some of the stuff with it...

I think it's either the lighting or the tape that was on it :/

You... have the same car as me. This is what full plasti-dip rims look like on them.

Also, did you check if your windows were already 70% from the factory? I've got 35% tint on the little windows (not in pic) and added with the factory tint it is closer to 20% VLT.

Also... look at the little back windows. See how the tint doesn't sit flat on the bubbles. If you paid a shop to do that tint, they suck.

Humm, I like the rims without the coating. Looks better stock. IMO I still have my set. Not sure if I'm keeping them.

I'm torn. But I'm pretty sure I like the stock shiney look better. Id say keep them stock chrome or get new rims
To me it kinda looks like a bad case of caked on brake dust.

I wish I coulda left my spokes shiny like his, but whatever the PO did to the wheels was causing my clear coat to spiderweb horribly and the aluminum was starting to oxidize under it so I had to do something.

Also our pics really don't do plasti-dip justice, every wheel I've seen done looks a lot better in person.

So I think I'm gonna take it off. I like it a lot but if I decide I want that look I'm just going to paint them because when I took the tape off it obviously didn't work very well lol. Thanks for everyone's input!

Tape works fine if you pull it off before it sets.

Ahhhh see I didn't think about that lol. I guess I'm gonna try that then lol. Would I still be able to do like 3 coats and then just take it off before the last coat dries or would I have to re tape it every time?

yea try that, if anything take a razor and cut along the tape so the paint doesn't come up with it.

That look is way to nice to give up on it.

So it's got some new stuff now! New door panels, a 5% brow, and perforated steering wheel and shifter.

I say go with the grey colored rims as well. Stands out more I think.. And you got tan door panels...? ickkkk. Im a fan of the black/grey.
