Trying to buy parts, keep being asked if it is the "K" vin-- what does this mean?

My vin definitely has a K as the 8th character. Is this, then, considered a "K" vin vehicle? Thanks.

Whats the 8th digit of your vin? Is your car a gt or gtp.

Well if its a k and they ask you if its a k its a k. ok :)

The 8th digit is the engine code for all domestic cars.
K is a series II 3800 non supercharged
1 is a series II 3800 supercharged
