• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

so who would be interested

If he made both so that the system would be removable liek the plastics.. I'd be recommending them to nearly everyone.

If you don't know me well, that's cool. That basically means that the 10 or so LIM's and motor jobs I do in a year.. each would use them. All the forums I'm on would hear about them. Yeah. Could be a lot.

Well...I can understand STB's since the GP's didn't get them stock (LOL, Regals did)

However.. everyone talks up a big game about aluminum coolant elbows and yet ..they'd probably break the timing cover.

How about it.. aluminum coolant elbows?
STBs stock on Regals :th_scratchhead:, I'm the 3rd owner of my 98 Regal GS and I don't have STBs. The 2 previous owners weren't the type to make changes to the car. The few Regals I've seen in the junkyard didn't have them either.

And I don't get what you guys do with the coolant elbows. Maybe I'm just lucky, but 200k and mine never leaked. When I had the timing cover off at 200k, I did replace mine just to be safe. Maybe the Grand Prixs got lower quality elbows, lol. I think my Regal was built in Canada and the Prix was built in Kansas so Canada vs Mexico parts maybe. My Prix has less than 130k on it and I don't know the history of it enough to know if the elbow was changed, but while I've had it, it hasn't.

GS..I've only had one coolant elbow issue and that was pressure and heat related.

On the Regal STB. 97/98 never got it. 99 I think most of the year, 00+ was oddly hit/miss on if it came equipped.

That would make sense, none of the cars I've seen were 99. I thought yours was a 98, but guess I'm thinking of Scottydogs. Take it yours is a 99. And the end of the elbow going into the lower intake did break when removing it now I think of it, so when doing rebuilds all the time like you, I can see the need for the elbows. I probably could of just rtv'd it, but for $4 at advance, why risk it.

Actually it's more for the guys that never want to have it bend. They'll still leak if you put pressure on the o-rings incorrectly.

I've had a couple 97's, and around 4 98's..and now this 2000
