Turbo ls4 tranny problems

Dratts

New member
I have Kevins turbo kit on my ls4 Murcielago. I broke the input shaft and replaced it with a 300m shaft. Less than 10 miles later and I broke the 300m shaft. I'm rear wheel drive so I get better traction and with the wide tires I have on it, I'm sure that I'm stressing the tranny more than if it were in front. Anyway, anybody have a suggestion on how I can keep an input shaft intact?

Yeah thats my fault, brain fart.

Still smells like its made up thread...... Why buy a 200k+ lambo then put a LS4 into it? Stupid..... IMO.

Oh gotchya.... So its just a replica Lambo, now it makes half as more sense as it did before. But why not an LS7 or LS9? More Powa?

now ive seen everything. whats next? Ferrari 458 replica powered by a L67 ??? i need another drink.

Yeah, sorry about that I usually mention replica. The LS7 doesn't put out the power that Kevins turbo ls4 does and although the LS9 does, it costs about $25,000 the last time I looked, plus they are a lot harder to fit transverse in a fiero. Anyway I would still have the input shaft problem. When you say just a lambo replica you should understand that it has custom wide suspension,13" brakes and the turbo ls4 which should have the same hp as the lp640 with a few hundred less lbs and no power loss through the front differential, so it should be able to perform as well as a real lambo without all the maintenance outlay. Even though I'm having problems with the 4t65e hd, I'm pretty sure it's going to be cheaper to solve than a broken lambo tranny.

yea, some people put ls4's in lambos.

This is the one I recommend GM Racing Turbine/Input Shaft (1,200 HP): Milzy Motorsports
Thanks, I didn't know that that part was still available, but it costs twice as much as the 300m and comes with no warranty and doesn't support tcc control. I've located one that will support tcc. Hp? We haven't got it on a dyno yet. From what other guys are getting with this turbo kit, I would say over 600hp. When it's not broken it's crazy fast.
