Technically it is Bermuda Blue. And I'm doing silver acccents.

How many layers of paint did you do, and did you use any clear coat? When you do your spoiler are you going to wet sand it down before you paint it? Wanna see what you do, cause I need to repaint my spoiler too.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Paint test Complete... moving onto full scale!

Two coats of base. Then a few coats of clear. The spoiler will see 2-3 coats of base. 3-4 of clear. Wet sand 1000-2000-3000 then buff with ultimate compound.
If you are a rookie I'd suggest doing a few tests to get the hang of it.

I did this near my back bumper after getting rid of my rust, but I did 2 coats of primer, 3 of paint, and 2 of clear coat. Then I polished it and waxed it, turned out better than I thought it would. Just wanted to see what you did, think I will do that on my other parts of my car.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Paint test Complete... moving onto full scale!

Hmmmhmm...its been almost 2 months and no completed spoiler pictures....

I can only wait so long

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Paint test Complete... moving onto full scale!

Ya I got froze out by weather. And crazy busy with school. Sucks I wanted to get it done too. But school takes priority

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Paint test Complete... moving onto full scale!

Boo school. Yay a career from going to school.

Long term gains for short term pains

Re: Mad Monkey's GP -Paint test Complete... moving onto full scale!

Meh, who needs a career when you can paint a spoiler.
