Well hi guys, i currently own a 98 cobra, but im in the market for a gtp. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. i use to own a 2004 monte carlo ss(3.8 supercharged) and now im looking at a gtp.

Welcome! Looking for a faster car huh? ...lol
lol no i travel alot for my job and i dont want to put alot of miles on the cobra and i also am going to be rebuilding the DOHC motor next year so i need a DD while the cobra is under the knife and i always had a soft spot for the 3800 motors, so i can afford a gtp. the monte carlos and impalas are over priced where i live they want 10k for an 03 with 90k+ miles. I can get a gtp for under 4k and it have about 100k miles. and they both have the same motor.

Plans for the Cobra?

As far as sound alone goes, I like the sound of a ported eaton. Here's a thread that will answer most of your question about modding a 3800.

just gave it a look over, sounds good to me. thanks man. But still didnt really answer my intial question. This car looks like its pretty "cheap" to mod compared to my cobra. I would want to get the gtp to at least 300 - 375 rwhp. I think that would be a steetable dd. My cobra is projected to be at 650 rwhp hopefully on a safe street tune:D

go for it dude my last gp was a 97 gt an it roughly was 315 n/a down side i had major trans issues as from what i am reading its common but my new one is a 2002 gtp freshly rebuilt motor an trans bottom an top end on the motor an s/c rebuilt also an it is strong..... not sure how much power though
