• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

seafoam

Going Gen V is cheaper than rebuilding a Gen III.

I think thats the main reason.

Gen V also has a proper coating/prep work.

allows it to go into the intake, then go and hit the intake valve, then into the combustion chamber, then it helps clean all the crap off the pistons and cylinder walls and makes motor happy.

ok so all those times i was told and read that pouring it through the brake boost is a bad idea....I WAS LIED TO?????? DAMN THOSE EXPERIENCED GTP/L67 OWNERSSS!!!

I wouldn't put anything but air through the rotors personally. I singlehandely stripped coating off a set of rotors with TB cleaner while I had the blower off. Yeah..early on I learned the hard way.

Funny gai! Should have read your owners manual for any supah chaaged karrrr. It says right in it not to spray anything in it to clean the tb or s/c that has methyl ethyl keytones in it. That's like the primordial ooze that god get's brake cleaner and throttle body cleaner from if you look on the can.

When I had my blower off a few years ago I purposely put Seafoam on the rotors to see if it would eat the coating. It did. I have since never run Seafoam through the brake booster for that very reason. I always go off the LIM now. ;)

Nooo let the do it through the brake booster since we who use the lim are wrong

Oh no!! I just cleaned my tb with tb cleaner!! Did I do something terrible?:eek:

Then yup! Lol. I had to take the maf out and clean the hell out of it cuz there was black **** caked on it. So bad it was black charcoal crumbling off of it!

can you seafoam just the gas and not have to change your oil and then do the other part right before you change the oil again

yeah i accidentally stripped the rotors on my first m90 when i had it off by just getting carbon out of the intake with

Ok..sooo confused! I use seafoam in all my cars..always have gone through the brake booster..BUT I have never done this on a supercharged car..just to be safe where is the vaccuum port on the lim or wherever I need to use one that will keep me from running it through the blower..I dont want to mess anything up..
