i am keeping my stock DP on my 99 gtp anyways my u bend i want delelted... my sensor.... can i just get a stight pipe and put the senors inside of it with a cut out hole or something ???? also does delelteing a ressinator sound good or no on aftermarket muffz:confused:

you can take out the ubend, but youre gonna have to weld in a bung for the o2 sensor unless you delete that too.

my opinion, if you delete the resonator then get something else to put into its place (glasspack).

yes bio i was thinking a thrush glasspack red hotdog tube haha and just run a striaght pipe back to the Y sounds like a good idea right? also this bung or delete of the o2 how can this be done without harming anything.....

I would just get the glasspack welded in or use clamps and not worry about the straight pipe part.As far as the o2 bung ,that would have to be welded in by a mufler shop, then your 02 sensor can screw back in the pipe. Now you have two other options 1.you can just disconect it and usually an ses light will be present or 2. you can disconect it and buy a o2 simulator from zzp. That way your ses light wont come on. It wont hurt anything to remove it all that it does is monitor the cat to make sure it is working properly. All the fueling is done by the upstrea bank one sensor wich is in the rear manifold.

ahh ok i gotcha but still i would want this bung to be done so it works... can i just get a regular stright piece of pipe and bring it to a shop and say bung here plz and im done? or?

i have a question. do you not want a down pipe because one person had problems with theres?? if so there not all that difficult. mine come off pretty easily, and when they are installed right there hardly even sound any different. even with no cats on an off road down pipe. i think the other guy has an exhaust leak cause it shouldent sound like that. if i can find the video clip i will show you how it sounds. its a 9 min video so you can hear very distictivly and even while hes reving its BEARLY any differece. i dont think you should detour away from a down pipe because one person is haveing problems with them...

Get an off road downpipe with an o2 bung from zzp and be done with it.

Basicly, Once you find out the proper location on your exhaust system you can just tell the exhaust shop where you want the bung and they will put it there.

lol yup mac n chesse hahaha anyways i finally pulled my damn tips off i swear to god it was like they were welded on haha anyways. ill keep this info in mind for the future thanks alot guys =]

YOU DA MAN TDC haha if you dont mind shot me a free car tuner haha jk its not x-mas haha man thatd be sweet though haha a random tuner or a box load of aftermarket goodies show up at your door step then your jaw hits the floor haha. thanks again tdc for the info you have given me =] ill give all you guys an update and pics and maybe even sound of my new system in about a week and 2 days to be exact haha

Dude, get a downpipe. That and the U-bend is the most restrictive part of the exhaust system. Your stock cat-back flows better than your stock downpipe. So basically you aftermarket mufflers are going to change the sound of your car, not the performance.

Do it right, get a downpipe. I recommend buying a bolt in section such as a 3" DP w/ 2.5" u-bend removal. Cat or Catless, your choice.

Four bolts, two on each side. Can of PB Blaster and soak the heck outta the bolts for cupple hours at least. New gaskets and bolt the new one up. The cops cant tell if you dont have a cat and couldn't do anything about if they could. Now at an emissions stand point some citys require you to have one. So check before you get the catless to make sure. My city does not but in Atlanta that is about 2 hrs way does.

It will take some time it's not a 5 minute thing. the bolts that are connecting the DP to manifold are a pain to get to.

well i have a cat wont i get pulled over without the cat! ?? ! this downpipe is it easy to change out?

Just get a DP with a cat...

As for the resonator, if you have real mufflers (Flowmasters don't count) it's fine to take it out. Flowmasters drone terribly with nothing else to help out. My dual Magnaflows sound great and don't drone at all. Resonator has long since been gone.

i think i was going to replace my ressy with a thursh glasspack will that change the sound of my thursh mufflers when i put them in or no?
