so i come home to no power in my man cave, to see my wall desk wall black, apparently my xbox 360 power brick shorted out and melted and luckily my surge protector got it.

I took it apart and it looks like microsoft was smart and put the power wire for the brick maybe a hair away from a gigantic coil. all the copper was melted as well..... well thats how i came home tonight... luckily it didnt take out more. my poor big screen was next to this....

no damage other then the brick. and my surge caught it.
not sure what i can sue them for. lol i'm not gonna bother. but from now on it stays unplugged

i have a ps3 as well, actually i have 2, 1 modded 4usb backwards 320gb phat ps3 and a 4usb backwards 80gb non modded phat ps3

i never use them though, im an xbox guy

Didn't they do a recall on that brick back in like 07? I remember them saying that something about it being at risk to catch on fire or something.
