My ebay projectors

clean, ever thought of trying a retrofit projector fog light? would that work?

Yeah I've thought about it for about 3 seconds then forgot my thought. My hid fogs shine easily 10 seconds down the road at 55mph however many feet that is, they're plenty bright. If they made a housing that was 4 inch's with a projector I'd be more excited about it but they don't. I think a 2.5in or 3in projector in the stock fog location would look iffy....

Hey I got the same projectors! The output is dece and so it the cut off line. No reason to compare it to a retro fit because I can tell you right now it's a waste of time.

I ended up disconnecting the 3 led's.. they kinda annoyed me and looked rice. But yea watch your LED's in the Halo's, mine went out in both sets that I've owned. Now I'm rolling no Halos, no LED's. Just projector beam and turn signals.

By the way, it's H3 bulbs in the low beam (projector) and H1 bulb in the high beam (reflector).. I never did like my high beams, do yours cross at all?

People hate on Ebay Projectors because when one person says something bad about a part on any grand prix website, it spreads like wild fire. If you want upgraded light output, Ebay Projectors are a great and cheap investment.

hey I got the same hood yours from stinger fiberglass? Arn't worried about running it without hood
pins?
Umm no the factory hood latch is plenty fine!!!

Also Naw that's how I would want my ebay projectors to run no halos no leds looks much much better this way imo....

Its not the latch you have to worry about failing, its the fiberglass in the hood iteslf.

Ok thanks I've had my GTX hood for over a year it's constructed very well. Good lord it isn't made out of wet toiltet paper I don't have a clue where you're coming from. Hood pins would look hideous, and you don't freakin need them.:th_shakinghead1:

I'm speaking from knowing several, not just one several, people who had fiberglass hoods and swore they'd never run hood pins and ended up with a smashed windshield, roof, and destroyed hood.

Best instance is my friend who has video of him doing 160mph with a fiberglass hood and no pins. Figure, well hell, its never going to fail. One day driving in traffic at 45 mph it happened and caused $2000 in damage.

Ok mang whatever you say... my gtp is lucky to ever see 90mph and if he didn't have hood pins and that actually happened the latch failed. It actually latches better than the factory hood.... 160mph isn't going to make fiberglass just rip apart lmao..... Sounds like your buddies popped their hoods to check their oil forgot they popped them then did their 160mph runs. What car is this you speak of again?

My gtx hood fits like factory, latches like factory, opens like factory and at highway speeds doesn't even flutter one I-otto like factory. Only way this hood is coming apart is if I crash the front end of my car.....

The hood was latched. The latch didn't fail, the fiberglass did. It was on a twin turbo Stealth. It was not some cheap ebay hood either, it was a high quality hood made by a trusted vendor.

And you misread. It did fine at 160, so the thought process would be, it should be fine at any speed, but it wasn't. It came up in traffic at 45. Sometimes **** happens.

A quality hood isn't coming apart at 45mph.... the end:D

No "the end" to it. The hood was top quality. And the hood didn't come apart. It broke where the latch grabs it.

Fiberglass isn't as strong as steel and it's lighter to boot. If the right conditions happen the force of the wind from driving could get under the front lip of the hood and rip the hood up.

There was another local guy with a nice DSM that was "too proud" to use hood pins. Well not using hood pins basically totalled his car. Same thing happened to him. And he was a spare no expense type of person so he paid too much money for his hood in the first place to get the best one he could. When the fiberglass failed at the latch the hood came up, shattered his windshield, hit his roof, and shattered his sunroof glass. The only consolation was that somehow his hood was unscathed on the top side.
