Killed another stang

On Woodward yesterday at the Dream Cruise, stopped a light in Bloomfield Hills, I roll up with a late 60's vet and an 85-86 mustang GT. I had a feeling the vet wasn't going to do anything. The mustang was caged, had a huge tach hanging from the dash, not sure what was done but sounded good. Anyway, I wasn't sure if the stang was going to go so I creeped off the line as the stang did, at about 10MPH the stang jumps on it and I did too caught up and passed the mustang by 60. The look on the driver's face was priceless.
 


You ever think the Mustang just jumped on it and got back off? If it was caged I would bet its an 11 second car. What you did wasn't a kill. It was a fly by.

I know the difference between a fly by and a race. My 85 GT was caged couldn't run any faster then a 12.2 at 108. My GTP pulls just as hard as my 85 did.

So if I put a roll cage in my gtp, it becomes an 11 second car? What kind of stupid statement is that?

I love how people discredit a kill just because they think they know better, because you know.. you were there and all.
 
Here's the thing, a foxbody can be many things. It could have been a 16 second beater, or 9 second car in street trim. They're one of the biggest "what if" cars out there.

They fact that it had a cage "could" mean it runs 11's or better, or could mean nothing at all. We've all seen riced out civics with ghetto ass cages.


OP, says his GP pulls just as hard as a car that runs low 12's @ 108. Whether or not that's true, the kill story is believable...at least to me.

A huge tach or a cage doesn't mean crap, I know of NPI 2V mustangs with cage,big and skinnies,huge tach and dumped mufflers but are slow as phuk

going off his mod list, he probably has a 12 second car. probably not low 12s, but it's the street. like said, who knows what was done to the mustang
