My fusion is quicker than my Fiance's 01 GP GT need help...

My fiance just bought my moms 01 gp gt. It has 152k miles on it. The car looks like new inside and out. However there is a problem. I just bought a new ford fusion last week with 2.5l with 175hp and a select shift 6 speed trans. Today we both drove our cars over to her parents house and on the way there took a little detour to see how these cars stack up against each other. Well we did a couple races both cars only had the driver, half tank of fuel and nothing else. The spot we go to is a little over 1/4 long that is straight and flat with no other traffic and no houses. We line them up and take off. In my fusion I jump out about 1 length and and pull the entire time. At the end she said I was about 3 car lenghts ahead. The second time we switch cars to rule out any driver error. Same results as first race. Off the line both cars chirp but thats about it. We made sure traction control was off on each car as well as the AC. My biggest concern is now my fiance wants a little more power in her gp. Is there any thing I can do without spending more than the cars worth to give her a few extra HP? I feel the car is running great last week before I bought my fusion and before I traded in my 08 impala with the 3.5l we did the same thing and the GP smoked my impala pretty bad. Any help would be nice. I really want to find her a different car and keep the GP to myself because I honestly love it! I love the looks and LOVE the HUD!!! Anyway thanks for the help guys!!
 


you can only make the car chirp? even if you floor it from a stop? my tires would start smoken if i floored it from a dead stop lol

The car has new BFgoodrich advantage T/A tires which I find to have ALOT of grip. Anyway anyone who knows anything about drag racing knows tire spinning is bad. Sure it may sound cool and look cool but if you spinning your not going anywhere.
 


Yea like I said I really like the GP. I may try and find her something else and keep the GT for my self! Going to run to auto zone and buy a can of sea foam and put in the gas tank.
 
^ lmao this guy. But that dosent seem right.maybe something is wrong with the GT. If anything it should be an even race or the GT winnin by a lil. Even the 3.5L AWD fusions arent all that.

Yeah I thought the GP should have been pretty even or a bit quicker. BTW uncle owns a 2011 Fusion sport with the 3.5L AWD and bone stock runs 14.40's all day that isnt bad at all in my book.
 
Hmm i see they usually average 15-15.3ish. Then again it could be the FWD version i saw and drivers of course matter.

I'm amazed nobody has mentioned this already, but I'm sure a top-swap would give you enough HP to smoke the Fusion. :D

I have brand new stock good years on and i still spin, I know spinning is bad but your in a FWD,to get a good launch from a dead stop you have to spin a lil or you bog out bad at the the start..
this is my slow ass video(05 impala), just after i seafoamed.was on a road that had a light incline at the top of 1st gear-start of 2nd gear,reason why it slows down so much in 2nd gear. started 25% throttle till stopped spinning then punched it, If i launched it harder I could of done better...

And if your 3800 is running well, seafoam wont do much.mine smoke very lil.

I spankished my buddies 08 v6 Fusion. I just have a open cone and downpipe. I think I was stock then. They move but eh nothing much
