1-2 Shift @ WOT

Ran the car at the track the other night and found that at WOT the 1-2 shift will not happen unless I let of the gas. Once I barely let of the gas it shifts and off I go again with no issue. I thought I was hitting the REV limiter but the more I thought about it I had the same issue last time I was at the track(pretty sure was same issue). The trans shifts great other than that and still pulls hard with no odd noises.

Since the last time I ran the car and now I have demodded and changed PCMs. I am pretty sure the issue I had the first time is the same as I had the other night but it has been over a year so not 100% sure.


The trans is an 02 with 3.29 single gears and a 3K stall....

I have ran this trans for 60K or so and never had this issue before....I wish I knew forsure if the problem I just had was the same before I demodded the car. That would narrow it down to maybe something in the PCM....maybe line pressures.....

I was not scanning so can not give any information on that....My thought was it was bouncing off the REV limiter as that is what is sounded like. Running a stock 98 TB........


I wanna say this issue is the same one that came up last time I went to the track and the car was modded....But hard to be 100% sure being it was 1.5 years ago. Then I was running an LS1 TB with SLP MAF and a differant tune in the PCM....If I knew forsure then it would help out the troubleshooting....
 
Do the trans tables in the PCM that you changed to have the same settings? Maybe it's tuned for a different final drive ratio
