1992 Richard Petty Edition Grand Prix Starts the dies

New to this Forum and Grand Prix's. I just recently bought a 1992 Richard Petty Edition Grand Prix. It starts then quickly then dies, it will stay running as long as I keep my foot on the gas but won't rev past 3000 rpm's. The previous owner said it had sat for some time due to a cracked lower intake manifold.
I replaced the lower intake, drained the fuel, replaced all the fluids & filters. Is there some thing I may have missed or from sitting so long is there something else I need to replace or clean, bad sensor or something else. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any assistance, David

maf sensor, crank position sensor maybe? fuel filter?

ps sell me your wheels
Thank you for the info Redline Pontiac, I will try and replace those sensors, already replace the fuel filter.
Thanks again, David
PS- I will keep you in mind if I decide to sell the wheels.

have you tested fuel pressure. mine just started doing that the other day and when i tested fuel pressure it was less then 1/2 of what it should be. should test 41-55 key on engine off and 44-58 engine on. it was reading 31 key on engine off and engine on was 18psi. i have a P0171 for bank 1 lean. so its not like there is a stuck open injector.

if fuel pressure is good then i would look at: MAF make sure it is clean. TPS. VAC leaks.... these engines can be very tricky to get back together without vac leaks.

the good thing is they are bullet proof. i have 220k miles on mine and the engine is still running strong. just the tranys that cant hold up.
