Went to the track Today

So I went to Lapeer Dragway on a pair of DR's my friend let me borrow. They didn't help my 60ft time very much over all-seasons, but they were very consistent. It was 96 degrees at the track and I ran against a headwind with no intercooler pump :(.

I ran 13 flat for my best ET of the day and almost pulled a 107 for best trap speed. I was shooting for 12's at closer to 110, but I didn't really expect it to happen in the conditions and my IC situation.

7 of my 8 passes were between 2.02-2.06 60ft. Worst 60ft was 2.142

My quickest pass was

83.98 MPH 1/8
13.021 1/4 mile
104.96 MPH 1/4 mile

My fastest pass was
2.059 60ft
8.665 1/8
84.87 MPH 1/8
13.187 1/4 mile
106.81MPH 1/4 mile

Too bad I won't be going back to the track on a better day to run. I was hoping to see 12.7-8 in cooler weather on street tires. The block is gonna be pulled and swapped for high compression.

Mods were VS cam, XS headers, 65# inj, e85, No intercooler (dead pump), 2.8 pulley, Nitto 555r's,

Those were some decent track times, what * was your advance set at?

I feel you on the I/C situation, I have to replace my core and re-seal the plates. I found out the core was leaking, right after i got my new Bosch pump too. I may never find time to get this junk to the track until Fall. :th_angry2:
 
I could easily see MID 12's on a cold day with the right conditions and 60 foot...keep it low compression.

Oh but High compression is so much more fun! All depends on what bottom end I find with the right price/mileage balance. I really wanna try a HC/ Milled heads thin Head gasket Gen V build.
