sensor plug help

so at the front of the engine you have the wire bunch that contains the fuel injector plugs etc.at the end of it all the way to the left (passenger side) you have a tan plug with a purple rubber piece on it. what sensor does that go to? i dont understand if i'm having a long day or what but i cant figure out what it goes to. the slack looks like it would go somewhere around the coil pack or something but idk. tornado going through the county and fights with the girlfriend is not to have on your mind when ur getting ready to work on a car. :(
 


um, if i'm not mistaken that wire connects somewhere to another wire coming from the main harness around the TB.. like there should be a wire with a plug on each end, that is just by itself. and i think it hooks to that. which connect to the main end on the harness. but i could be wrong.

if you can't find it i'll go look under the hood.
 
Ok ill have to look. I should've included that its to the left of the fuel pressure regulator. I haven't looked yet. Maybe within the next couple of days.
 
All of a sudden now that you're saying purple, one of the alternator sensors just popped into mind. Like I said if you can't find it still, I can just look under my hood for ya.
 
Sounded like the pigtail to then plug into the harness to the coolant sensor. (under upper radiator hose where it hits the engine).

but it reaching around the coils.. hmm maybe if it had the pigtail on it. Is it a round or oval plug and how many wires in it?
 
alternator sensor? i know i got my power wire hooked up and i have a voltage booster so i know i hooked that up. i dont think it would reach the low coolant sensor. i'm at my girlfriends so when i go back to my moms which is where i work on my cars i'll check. i'm pretty sure tho that its kinda round maybe 2 or 3 wires going into it. if you look at ur engine and you have the big wire harness that has ur injector plugs etc, follow it to the end all the way to the passenger side and its the last plug u can use. its frustrating. i have errands to run so i'll spend another 5 minutes trying to figure out where it goes and if i cant find it i'll take a pic on my phone and see if i can post it on here.
 


Ok, Then I'll assume you are NA and this is a flat three prong plug. At the passenger end of your UIM is a sensor for the map. Plug er' in.

And when I said coolant sensor, I tried to help with the location... meaning the ECT sensor, not low coolant.
 
Nope. Im supercharged. I'm sorry I didn't take a good look. When I saw it and couldn't figure it out I didn't think about posting a thread on here so I didn't pay much attention to it. Like I said ill take pics and post them.

check that out guys. still havent had time to figure it out but if you know where it goes quickly then maybe i can figure it out. i untangeled it a little bit and got some slack so maybe it goes somewhere on the driver side. sorry if it seems like i'm an idiot :(
 
Yes, the little skinny purple one goes to the coolant temp sensor, which you will find conveniently located on the bottom side of your LIM, slightly under the upper coolant hose/thermostat elbow corner thingy. Plug it in you'll be good to go.

u guys both called it lol i was thrown off cuz the way i untangeled it, there was slack that made it seemed like it went to the passenger side.
