HUB nut sizes

I need to change my hub tomorrow and know i don't have a socket big enough for the center nut, Anyone know the size? thanks, Rich

It is either a 35mm or 36mm socket. I want to say 36mm, but if you don't have either one, you can rent them at autozone and get your money back when you return them. I would pick up both just incase. And also a torque wrench if you don't have one. What is the year of your GP?

my '97 uses a 35mm and that happens to be one of the sized Autozone doesn't rent out. :( Oh well. At least I will never have to go rent one if I have to change out hubs.

Yeh, it'll be one of the two and I think the torque specs are about 150 ftlbs. It's in the Haynes manual if you have one.

I have a 97 GTP and I have one 36 mm and one 34mm.

I believe that stock they all had 36 mm nuts on them. Aftermarket hubs that provide their own nuts can be almost any size. That is how I got one 34mm. And I assume others would get the 35mm.

Weird, had to take off mine Saturday for the CV rebuild..... 33mm, and that was actually a little loose.

I used a 36 mm for my olds intrigue, but it was loose...got the job done though just have to keep in on the nut straight..should have been a 35mm but they are a rare size

Again???? man brian wasent kidding.

Looked as though something actually got kicked up and punctured a hole in the boot. Definitely not from normal wear, but at least I caught it early. Also, I don't know what Brian's been telling you and probably don't want to. LOL!
