In all honesty business is really picking up here lately. I'm looking at probably 3 sets within the next month which is fine by me. Ideally I'd like to do a set a week for people but I'm not sure I'd have enough time. I'd be doing nothing but retros and working full time which would leave no time for my wife and son. Like I said I enjoy doing them and trust me no one knows what is behind them at night. I've had neighbors say man I didn't know that was your car coming down the road the other night your headlights looked awesome, when did you get those and where did you get those.

Wooooooooooo, the look good.

Cop is just jealous because like Brian said...he secretly knows his projectors are worse than fogged over factory headlight capsules.

For the record...anymore crapping in this thread is going to be deleted without warning.

clean you ever do 04+'s?

Sure don't Mad.... it would be virtually impossible for me to do without an 04 car to test fit them to. It's kind of depressing that I have to turn away people because I CAN do them for an 04 but just can't send out work not knowing if they're rotationally correct and level....

My neighbor has an 05 gp but I doubt he'd let me use his car everytime I needed to make an adjustment or had a set to do. Not to mention on the 04 cars you have to cut the plastic behind the headlight so the backside of the projector fits thru correctly, this would have to be done by the customer unless they sent me the plastic pieces with their headlights.

There's a lot of guys around here that have done 04 retro's on their car and they've done good work from what I can tell. If you really wanted a set I'm sure you could have someone give you tips and pointers and try it yourself. However there's always the risk of ruining perfectly good headlights if you don't know what you're doing.:D

For the love of God, thank you blue!!!!!:th_winking:

Theres the money shots we've been looking for :D

Thank you JoRo and this is the worst set I've ever done that's on my car so what's that telling you!!!!

I should've flat blacked my housings and shrouds. When I get time that's my plan. However with business finally gaining ground now it might be a while. All the love makes it worth being a vendor here! Rocket was nice enough to discontinue my vendor fees because the business was slow for a while. Now that it's picking back up I will be donating monthly to GPF again it's only fair.....

I really wish I had the ability to do other vehicles, the only other vehicles I can do really is tsx projectors in preludes, I've done a few hemi rams that are local and I put them in my wifes civic. I quite possibly could do Monte's and Regals hook them up to my wiring harness break out my level and make sure rotationally correct. It's really up to the customer to make the final adjustment to his or her liking. No 1 person is going to want their headlights exactly the same height. I personally have my retro about a ft below the rear view mirror of the car in front of me following a normal distance.....

I'm gonna be a little bit different and say that I do actually prefer the look of Spyders over the retros. However....output is hands down worlds better with the retros.

Clean exactly how are yours set up? I can see it still looks chrome inside but the part more toward the front looks black. And what about the corners? Did you paint them black? Me likey...

Mine are black housed oem style capsules and black corners with orange reflector. I'm one of the rare few that would rather have an orange reflector than the clear reflector. I left the housings how they come from the supplier. They usually get scratched test fitting the shrouds and projectors so I just taped off the chrome and resprayed the black part gloss black with hi temp engine enamel. If I had to do it over again which I'm thinking about I'm going flat black housings and flat black or gunmetal shrouds. To much chrome going on imo but I'm not worried about my retro at this point.....

I also don't paint corners, the corners supplied by the ebay sellers are plastic junk. I'm not trying to be liable for someones corner lenses. If you want black corners you'll have to order the black oem style housings from ebay or rip them open yourself and spray them black if you order the all chrome housings. All I do on the corners is reseal them to the best of my ability.....

Sorry clean, you guys have really put me in my place this time around.

I won't be recommending anything when it comes to headlights anymore, I definitely respect you and your retro's.
