• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Commence the newb bashing...

...and while you're at it sell me some headers or rockers. i'm getting upto 2.5 to 4* knock retard starting at the 1-2 shift (literally like 53 to 5500rpm and no earlier) and staying most through 2nd (some bleeds off before the shift but comes back at 53 to 5500) and into 3rd. some may be false but some is real cause i'm on a ~30% E85 blend to boost octane and it still shows up sometimes when it's warmer out.

help a brotha out y0...

Welcome... no bashing unless pointless/useless posts/comments.
Have you looked into the speed daddy headers.. bout $200 on ebay, alot of people on here have them, including myself (have had them on for over a year with no problems) plus alot of write ups on them too.

welcome, you don't seem like a noob to me.

It's not my first rodeo but it IS my first Series II/III and IMO although the potential is there GM screwed the pooch in several areas. mainly the whole "lets slap a non intercooled eaton on a motor that already knocks from the factory with a piss poor tune" concept...excellent recipe for success...haha

Do you have any vids/pics of said "gutted" mufflers?? Everyone says to stay with stock ones, curious as to how gutted ones sound.

I have a pic up on 3800pro and I'll copy the post over as soon as I get to work. Basically stock mufflers on my PAU were 3 chamber but the exhaust traveled the length of the muffler a total of 3 times to exit and the plates are super restrictive. There was no packing either.

They get raspy when gutted with no resonator. I like it. Others wouldn't.

Offset Inlet - Center Outlet

Comes in the top tube at the top left (which is only lightly perforated) and travels the length of the muffler to the last chamber. the chamber has only 4 tiny exit holes into the main chamber. the center outlet is lightly perforated but most of the gasses are forced to flow through 4 more tiny holes back to the front chamber of the muffler case where they can finally enter the center outlet tube and exit the exhaust...

I cut the tubes out of the center chambers. i had to "de-lid" each muffler to do this and weld it back together. not totally worth it honestly but i like the sound.
