Right now i have a cd , but the track's name are displayed as ("track 2" ect.)
I read my cars owners manual and it has a deal about playing mp3s.

No never did... grrr it is annoying! Im an organized person so seeing "track 7" bugs me!

are you burning an audio cd or an mp3 cd?

Both. My stereo doesn't support the MP3 format :( I know there are +04 OEM stereos that support MP3s. Im looking for one maybe the nav one.

Re: Burn audio cd with ID3 Tags?!

If the stereo doesnt recognize the format then you can stop yourself right there.

However, what you're looking for is called CD Text.

Thanks for not giving me the ole "GOOGLE IT" crap. Im not stupid ive been to my share of rodeos.

Re: Burn audio cd with ID3 Tags?!

I know my aftermarket deck can read CD Text, but i don't own an 04+ nor do i have the in car experience to test this.

Sorry guy.

Hope you figure something out.

Re: Burn audio cd with ID3 Tags?!

I used iTunes to burn with cd text, and it never showed up on any factory or aftermarket receiver, nor would a different computer see the into, BUT my friend has an Avia stereo (cheap brand) and it shows up on there. Wtf?

Re: Burn audio cd with ID3 Tags?!

Use Windows Media player to burn the CD. Although people don't know this, there's different formats for ID3 tags as well as CD text. If that doesn't work I doubt anything will. I never knew my 04 supported CD text and I don't think all that much changed in there stereos.

I successfully burned a Cd Text using Easy CD-DA Extractor, iTunes, Windows Media Player, and many other programs,
but it doesn't show up on the car stereo. Anyways i bought this...

Im sure its not just me that has this problem! This product wont show text, but it will at least let me jack up my phone/iPod. Lets see how it goes when i install it.:)
