What to do with paycheck this week?

Hippo Machine

Because Wet Leaves
I'm gonna get my paycheck this Friday and was wondering what you guys thing I should do with it. (~$70)

Should I:

Get new tranny fluid (brand?) and filter? (DIY)
+
Fuel filter (DIY)?

OR

Spark Plug Wires (Brand?)

OR

Spark Plugs (Dad doesn't really believe in changing them, but I have no idea the last tiem they were changed.)
+
Anything to improve MPG's?

OR

Get a STB From ZZP?

OR

Save with next weeks and get something else/save for tires and rims?

you should get the maintenance done on the car first, things like fuel filter, plugs ect. before you start buying "toys" to throw into it... but with a paycheck like that dont over do it

70 bucks?

Wut.

Save your money...because last I checked a pan drop on a trans is gonna run more than 70 bones anyways.

Yes i get $0.05 over minimum wage at a grocery store... but really the fluid costs that muchhh?

Well...figure on average give or take...5 bucks a quart and you need 8 quarts to do a pan drop. There's 40 bucks...and a transmission filter/gasket are around 10-15 bucks...so there's 60-ish after tax. Do you have a bucket to drain it into? A funnel to fill it back up with?

I'd save your money...work some more hours...and just drive it.

When you get a better paying job, hop on the mod train. I was in your spot when I was younger...gotta weed through all the crap for awhile.

Just save your money man. IF your gonna do something or feel the need to, just take care of the maintenance for now. Money will come with time and then you can have fun with it. Some advice.... Stay away from women for now and dont have any kids until your done doing to your car what you want. lol

x2 !

Save your money for a little while. In the meantime, spend your time looking over your car, check the plugs and wires, fluids, air filter, battery cables, belts, hoses, clamps...yada yada. Make a list of things you need/want in that order. Price out your options, get opinions from the folks here, and just do one thing at a time.

In between all of that, do simple, basically free things. Like detail the engine bay, clean any rust off the rotors, remove the seats and shampoo the carpets, detail the car inside and out. These things will make you feel good while you save for the next maintenance part or mod. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Modding your car is an awesome, fun hobby. However taking care of your car, and making sure you address all the basic, routine maintenance issues speaks volumes more about a car guy in my book.

if you just got the car I would do maintence first get the oil changed and then drvie it for a week or so and sea foam it and change everything including the oil again but with a high quality and a good filter, then do your fuel filter, and plugs. Then when you get some more money do a pan drop. After that flush your cooling system throw in a 180* T-stat and your good to go maintence wise for a good month or 2 untill you change the oil again. From here I would go read the safetly modding your car thread
