Traction control is on wont turn off stays on

(last owner claims to have done the following work wheel bearings ball joints tie rods never says if thats all passenger or driver side )

the check engine light (MAF) is on but thats because it has a after market intake any way of fixing that to stay off ?

i dont know what its called the thing that displays your mpg oil life etc half of it is dimmed can be seen in the video below whats up with that ?

and my last question is i like having the steering wheel controls for the cd player but want a system put in this summer so whats my options i know i can put a converter on the cd player but will it sound good when its all hooked up to a system or is there a after market radio that can work with steering wheel controls

abs and TC light are most likey a wheel bearing or could possible a bad wire somewhere for the abs system.

If you can find someone with a code reader than can read abs that would be best or you would have to find a shop to see which wheel it is.

Whats the code number??? P????, can you get that for us?

There is a adapter you can buy to keep the steering wheel controls.

the HUD aka heads up display is dimmed?

is the dimmer/brightener thingy turned up all the way?

There is a write up somewhere on here on how to fix it.

did you read it?

They are screw in style bulbs.

You twist it to the left, pull it out, put new bulb in and twist it back to the right.

And taking the dic apart is a matter of a few screws to open it, its all simple stuff, dont over think it.

sorry for the late reply work 12 hour days at my job any way went to advance auto and the guy hooked up the reader and no codes came up on it for the abs but the MAF did so he tryed clearing it got rid of the MAF but not abs light but i think i know what it is has to be the driver side wheel bearing because its making a noise when i turn

Hi, I got 1997 GTP my problem is with the steering controls, none of them works and sometimes when you brake the volume goes up.
Did somebody had the solution? :D

it still might come back and if it does you simply might have to get a new one that you just pull out of the intake and push the new one in. make sure its in as far as it should be and make sure the little rubber gromet is sealing the way it should.

as far as your abs light goes. if u know what bad hubs sound like then it could be that. they usually come with new wheel sensors so that should eliminate ur problem. i recommend the Timken brand. they last forever.
