lookin for a supercharger pulley dont know what size to get

i have a 98 gtp 3800 series 2 all stock lookin to do some mods. need to know what size pulley i should go with. dont wanna get to small cuz i know it can hurt the engine. also if some one has one for sale that would be great as well thanks.

Please don't install a smaller pulley...
You have a little way to go before you can even consider spinning the blower faster.
 
im gonna buy i GTP im looking at and on the way home from buying it, imm stop by the store and buy a 2.5in pully and pop it on,,,oh and the car has 175k on it...bone stock

But seriously guy...research. Your car is stock...leave the stock pulley.
 
thats why i asked would rather sound stupid the be stupid and mess my car up. this is my first gtp and some people have told to do the pulley cai and exhaust and it wouldnt hurt my car. so i did the smart the and asked on here so i didnt cost me a car. but thanks for the advice
 


also just reconized your name and i read every thing you put in the post about moding safely. and im starting from the top and working my way down eventually it will be where i want it.

Hey buddy, don't get discouraged by the sarcastic guys on this board. Especially if they're a moderator who is supposed to represent the site in a positive manor but they fail to do so.

The thread about safely modding your engine is a very general, but useful tool to get yourself started. I strongly recommend educating yourself on how each of the engine's components work with each other, to gain more of an understanding on what mods are best to choose for your respective goals.

With that said you shouldn't be dropping pulleys if your car is stock, like other people have said. Start with headers, IMO that is the best mod to go with first.

Good luck! These cars get really fun once you start uncorking them.
 


thanks dan and snowflake i just got my intake gonna get headers asap. and already have the thermostat and plug and wires. so its getting there slowly but surely
