OMG where do I begin! Rush played at the Verizon outdoor auditorium tonight and I had stage right row R tickets. I was really close, last year I had row FF tickets and man I could have almost fallen out at how close I was! The songs were great and the crowd was HUGE! It looked like the entire lawn area was full as well.

Now it should be painfully obvious why nickname is GeddyLee. Incase for those who dont know, he is the Bassist for Rush :)

Here are a few camera photos I snagged while I was there.

I love Boston and Styx, both I've seen. Boston during the Third Stage tour and Styx Grand Illusion. Of all of the concerts I've seen, Boston (my fav group) was my fav.The sound that Boston produces in concert makes the hair stand on the back of my neck. Stevie Ray Vaughn (saw him on his first album tour) was awesome too, but in a much different way.

James, man there are a lot of old dudes there. The 4th picture says it all. Is he saying,"Hey, don't bogart the joint, or is it crap I gotta pee again".:th_king-evil:

i thought rush was in milwaukee this weekend?

Newp they were in St. Louis on Saturday. I know their schedule got jacked around with bad weather in some of the outdoor venues. They had to switch a couple dates around, but St. Louis was set a long time ago :)

OMG that is so true!!!! Those two rows infront of me I think were tookin the WHOLE NIGHT! I think I got a contact high from the second-hand pot smoke! I was not happy about that, but what can ya do? I ain't a rat :th_peaceout:.

But you should have seen the age ranges at the concert, there were parents there with their children and a lot of teenagers as well. It just goes to show how RUSH has branched out with this album. It has touched a lot generations no doubt!

Rush has a new album? I've not heard about that.

I saw Rush once. During the time when I was trying to steal my, now wife, from her then boyfriend. They both went and somehow I wound up two rows in front of them. 1985 or 86.

Yeah their latest Album is called Snakes and Arrows. You should check it out. You might be impressed by it :)

I think with this concert, I have seen them about 10 times now. I hope they still have a few more tours left in them!!!

I would have to hear something from them on KSHE first. While I like them, the only reason we have any of their CD's is my wife liked them a lot at one time.

I always take one of my kids with me to concerts. Last month was my daughters first(Reo & Night Ranger). She loves REO. I took her to this one to. Both my kids (6 and 11)are fighting to go next month to Journey-Heart-Cheap Trick. But this ONE, my husband will go.(He never goes)
Hope you had a blast James!!!! Who you gonna see next?

Honestly RUSH is the only band I really go to see in Concert. I don't know past them honestly who I would want to see in concert.

RUSH ROCKS!!! 2112 is a pure masterpiece....
however the last concert i went to.... I took my oldest daughter (15 now 12 or 13 at the time) to see Greenday, what a show, it was fantastic!!!! we both rocked our asses off!!! I told her what happens at greenday stays at greenday, and let her cuss, and boy did she like saying the f-word....just so you know, she is on the honor roll, has a part time job, and has never tried any drugs....she says music is her anti drug.(the things i did at her age, oh my lord..)
so believe me when i say you can't buy memories like that....and the kids grow fast so try and find mutual interests and partake in them...it makes all the difference.

I confess that I have not seen Rush live. (Or if I have, perhaps I was too drunk to remember...that's always a possibility.) Been to a few this year. Got fourth row for Cruefest this Sunday. It's just nice to have a day off, you know? However, if you can spend a few hours with good friends and good music, nothing beats it. (Okay, well very few things beat it.)
