so after reading everything i just want to be clear. with the current mods i have plus im plannin on doing a gen 5 top swap phenolic i/c from the for sale ads n* tb and cnc heads from wbs. Im NOT going to cam my car whatsoever and probably drop the pulley either to a 3.25 or just simple to a 3.0 and than have to change out the fuel pump and injectors and tune and what not. so the question i have is with this setup would i chip a piston beings thats my main concern with all the modding being done to my car granted i read alot on modding and have read the safely modding the 3800 many times. im just trying to prevent the piston from getting chipped with the lift that i would have

1. as long as you tune for the mods you should be fine as long as its done right... I would add a WB02 to your shopping list though for that purpose...

2. what heads are you going to get if your not gonna cam it? seems like a lot of $$$$ for a little HP... just my .02

wbodystore has cnc ported head plannin on going with those and whats a wb02 just for educational purposes haha

dont get me wrong it is a good mod, but they really only benifit the cam guys more... not us rockered individuals ...

better? no... even with a stock VT setup you would see advantages with ported heads... but with the mods you have/ going to have (especially only going to a 3.0)... youd be lucky to get MAYBE 20 more hp with cnc heads (mainly from the exhaust being opened up)...

so its not really "better" to use stock heads... im just saying for the $$$ vs hp ratio... its a little more logical...
