sunroof = let's race?

I've just noticed this recently. It seems when my sunroof is closed or just popped up to vent, no one will ever bother me, yet when it's all the way open, every kid in town that thinks their car is fast wants to race. A friend of mine with a T-bird confirmed the same thing. Is this a universal signal that says "let's race," that I didn't know about?

I tested it yesterday and had some riced out civic slow up to check me out and rev his motor. Then soon after, some douchey looking kid in an STI with an exhaust rolled up on me like I was standing still, did a ricer flyby, dropped back beside me, stared for moment, then took off again, nearly cutting off the car in front of me where a two lane merges to one. I LOL'd.

I won't race when there's any kind of traffic around, so I didn't encourage either of them.
 


yea it kinda seems this way. when i see a sunroof sticking up out of a car like the grand prixs do, i atuomatically think a kid. i dont know why but im always right.
 
I will try out your theory. The teenagers around here are getting the itch now that it is springtime and graduation season. Maybe I will get a nibble
 
hmm i think your right, i was cruising one night, it was colder out so the sunroof was just poped and no one wanted to line up. hell no one reved or anything.
the time after that i had it all the way open and i only heard vacuums all night
