Any opinions on 350z vs gtp?



I would have thought drop to 3nd, press performance button and make sure TC is off, stage up and roll throttle... shift to drive at the end of the race and then turn TC back on :P

No real need to manually shift, thats what the shifter button is for (assuming you have one, most do but not all)
 


my friend has(had)an 1984 and an 85, 300zx that we were building, one was auto and the other was not, we raced from time to time and he only got my once and that was in the 85 with the auto, but i have an 3100 not a 3800 but there also not the same Z's but the motors are the same so you should take him easy
 
I raced my buddies fiancees 350z and pulled on it both times from a dig and a roll. It was gutless, but it was the 6spd manumatic. Fun to play with in the rain with the LSD in the rear and quick shifts when you needed them but on dry pavement it was absolutely gutless. So she wrecked it and bought a 2010 fully loaded Maro SS. White w/Inferno Orange stripes and interior, and painted to match 20s. Sexy car.... now back to the point... go whip dat ass :p
 


WEll i have been working on my launches ha ha and i think were going to to put them beside one another tomorrow. So ill keep it updated if we race tomorrow or not.

I also have another manager with a 04 Escalade that wants to race also so ill probally do that too.
 
Well the question about my 99 gtp and my bosses 05 350z was answered today. We raced in the country and he beat me by a car and a half length. I beat him on the take off every time but once he started to hit 3rd he passed me. My launches were good even tho we did line up like six times because he kept reving it too high of the launch and the car would cut his fuel,haha.

Sorry to disappoint any of you but it was a pretty close race, With a 3.4 pulley and a pcm or a tune in the future there is no doubt the gtp with take the 350z.

Looks like im going to have to race my managers 04 Escalade to get my blues to go away, haha :th_winking:
 


Its ok man least you got the low end. Its the lack of top end on these cars that kills us.at least with a tune and rockers you'll probably hang with him then maybe beat him.
