• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Got a hold of something new to mess with so I need to go test it out. I'm about to head out of here and go clean up the car real good and see what kind of pictures I can grab. I need some up to date stuff anyways, everything I currently have is fairly old.

Figured I should figure out how to make it work before I went through all that trouble cleaning the car up and taking the pictures. So this is just a test shot of the car in the garage with very little light. Take in mind this is a dirty car with bugs and dust all over it right now in this photo. Should be interesting to see what turns out once it's clean and has a good setting. :D

Is it that program that allows you to overlay numerous photos of the same one shot with different variants of lights? I cant remember the name off the top of my head, but it looks fimilar to the one I use to use.

Either way those ones you posted so far look pretty sweet. I found it best to use a tripod to keep the camera totally still to get the best blend of photos.

Yup, thats exactly what it does. Photomatix is the one I'm using.

Here is another pic I took not too long ago, I'm going to wait until I get night shots before I post the rest of them up, saving the better pictures for last. :D

I just think this one is pretty cool, and yes I know it's extreme. Neat none the less.

Keep us/me updated on this. This would be good for my storm chase pictures.

Hey, great idea. Didn't even think of that. Those would be some bad ass pictures without a doubt.

Anyways, I'm off to bed for now. I'll take, and post the rest later. Can't wait to see what all the lights at night are going to look like.

The only thing you have to remember is that you need to have the camera perfectly still to really match up the various pictures. That is why I mentioned before about the use of a tripod to help steady your shots.

I have the fully licensed copy myself. I guess I gotta find time soon to play with it as well. It has been a while since I dabbled with it and I haven't used it with my semi new Fuji 602Z. This camera actually allows me to change the lighting, so that should make for some really interesting shots.

Yeah, I just got the trail version earlier this morning. Needed to make sure I could actually figure out how to work everything and such. Now that I know what to do there is no doubt I'm going to end up getting the full version fairly soon.

sooo linux? ;)

Well I actually meant windows as in the kind you look out, but now that you mention, no, I dont do that kind of windows either. I do run Linux, Ubuntu to be specific. I still have windows installed though and dual boot because of AutoTap, my weather software and the PowerTuner.

dang the body lines look sweet in that picture :)

Yup, always loved the body lines of the Grand Prix. The designer of the car sure as hell made one good looking family car. :D

Almost makes me wish they had called it the 'G8' back when they were originally planning on it. Probably would be a lot more popular and well known of what they can do.

Accidentally posted the watermarked picture twice instead of posting the unmarked one.

Here it is without the watermark-

Nice HDR
I think they are cool for landscapes.
Not as overdone as your of course.
It is a neat process.
Yours look cool

You should try overlaying 2 or three pictures and not making them look so extreme!
It looks cool also!

Yup, I've got a couple that I've done that aren't nearly as extreme. I was just aiming for something that would catch someones eye with these two pictures. Kind of a more 'artsy' look to it of sorts. :D
