• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

are you out of your f'in mind?

I'll take the hood and the SD lip on that GP. They can have the rest. That guy is a troll on CL no wonder he gets flamed all the time.

Boy ricers sure dream big.
If he knew anything about cars he would want an 05 anyways.

He's trading a car with ARP head studs. Awesome! That must count for something?

If he knew anything about cars he would want a Pontiac(see quote below):D

"a 2004 Pontia GTO, NOTHING ELSE. "

Reliability is what really killed that car. Even stock you had to worry about them with many miles on them. They are fast fun cars but the upkeep on **** that breaks and goes wrong with them kills it for them.

Stock form they will run forever if maintained. That's the key word. Most people who onwed them beat the crap out of them and didn't take care of them so they got a bad rap. I have seen some super high mileage 4g63's that still run like the day they drove off the dealer lot.

Modded its a completely different ballgame. But thats with any car. If I didn't decide to mod and race my Stealth I would probably still have the original trans in it and still be driving it.

Yeah I guess your right. However it's hard to find a stock car that hasn't been thrashed on. I remember doing red line clutch dumps in a friends AWD TSI in highschool. You could smoke all 4 tires on a good day.

This is my favorite part of his post. What a salesman

"basically want to trade for something that has real power, and the GTO looks nice, and has a v8, dont want a little half a motor anymore, keep getting flamed by dbags and sh**"

lol i didnt evan think of that.. idiot posts that in his ad... funny as hell

Awhile back there was a guy on Pittsburgh CL that had a low mileage early 90's Olds Cutlass that wanted $20,000 for it.

Some people think their cars are worth more than gold just because its low mileage.

There are very few cars of the 90's that could fetch 20k in any shape. The only GM car on that list is a ZR1 Vette.

The late 90's C5's have dropped considerably. You can get an early 2000's C5 for low 20's.

I almost bought a black 2001 for $21,000 4 years ago.

EDIT: A 99 hardtop Vette blue books for $17,500 suggested retail. For those who don't know, that means what you'd expect to pay at a dealer lot. Private party value is $15,500

So all of the guys who want 20+ for their C5's are out of their minds?

Yes, 2 guys I work with each purchased a vette, one a 97 targa top for $8,000 the other was a 00 Vert with Z06 wheels for $15,000 both nice cars and under 100,000 miles

My cousin had a 91 Talon Tsi, it was quick but very unreliable. It almost spent more time in his garage then on the road. finally took it apart, sold the good stuff and somehow got a Galant VR4. 150k miles but everything is rebuilt, even the tranny by Shephard. Wanted to get a run with him but he got stationed in Florida a few months ago for 6 years ^^

The Galant VR-4 is the exact same car, aside from the body itself.

DSM's aren't unreliable by nature, they are unreliable by poor maintenance and idiots half-arsing the mods and repairs.
