funny how he has a picture of the zzp car on his site. How can u tell who he is? i didn't see a name.
 
Dont know his name... i saw this ad on kijiji and hes close enough to home to get a tune... jw if anyone in ontario has ever used him.

i just dont want to send my pcm to Ontario and never get it back. :th_nervous:
 
i replied to his ad a couple of days ago and haven't got a reply...

but i'm really hoping matt5112 or kuntzie reply to this thread as they are a couple of gp guys in ontario and have maybe heard of him....
 
Nope.

Everyone on OQCGP says see Kevin from Cartuning or Will Overkill.

Kevin would be close to you seeing as will is now on the east side of Toronto.

yeah its prob better to stick to them, when i get more mods and retuned il go to Will most likely. Im in London ON, about 2 hours from Toronto.
 
How far east matt?...u talkin oshawa or Belleville?...and this Kevin from Cartuning, wheres he @?

Ask him if he tuned the car he has pictured or whose 9 second twin turbo car he did tune. He's full of **** on that account, Matt M. is the only one to tune/own a 9 second twin turbo car, the other 8/9 second cars were all single turbo.

sent him (the ad on kijiji) a couple of emails last week and never got a reply :th_scratchhead:

Matt...if will does ur tune, ur a pretty big big player in the gp community so if u trust him, i'll give him a shot. what are his rates anyways?

Do u have any contact info for him that i could get from u?...(brace urself for a stupid question but...) can i just ship him my pcm to tune or does he need the whole car?

Seeing that you're from outta town if its a 3.4 setup or more stock then sending in the PCM will be fine.

I'd suggest a scan gauge to ensure your KR levels are somewhat manageable. If not you can send the PCM back for adjustments.

Check out the site matt suggested, great place to find local stuff. GPF has way more content and active users tho.
 
the guys name is bill and live about 10 minutes from me,

i dont suggest him at all unless you want just a speedo change or or minor thing like that (o2 delete, ect), or a flash back to stock.

kevin is a wicked tuner, he truthfully is tuning sub 10 second cars eash and every week,
 
Thanks Matt, thats all it will be at first (3.4" setup) but i need a plog, definately a scanner (kr), and a tune before i can drop to a 3.4. and then go from there.

Kuntzie, Thanks....i figured someone had heard of this guy on kijiji.

So, i'm gonna stay away from that cat and look into overkill......Thanks for the help / input guys.

Eventually i'd like to find someone closer to home to tune cuz i dont go to Ontario with the car but i can ship the pcm to him for 3.4" set up.

i'm just gonna lay it out, that this forum is beyond helpful....theres guys on here (not gonna point fingers) that swear u can get info on other sites and that u don't need to follow Nick's "Safely Modding" write up but theres not a question i haven't found an answer to here, on GPF.
 
Just an update... finally got an email back from this guy and the name in my email inbox is "hp tuners". and i have noticed that since i posted this thread he has updated the ad to notate that the car in the pic is ZZP's Twin turbo car as 99prix pointed out earlier in this thread.

Maybe hes a member here, maybe not.:confused:

i wondered why he hadn't advertised here per say and someone on OQCGP pointed out that he would just be torn apart as a hack.

Matt M must own the TT ZZP car in sh*thead's ad :confused: ...eh?
 
I got my tune from Will at Ovekill Motorsports, pretty satisfied with the tune. However, try finding a dyno tuner next to you, it is your best bet and the tune will be completely customized for your car.

I'll get mine re-tuned this summer
