I hate deer

I don't understand how so called hunters can go 2 weeks without shooting a deer when I had 5 close calls last night driving the GP before finally hitting a deer on my way home. 10 mile trip and had to lock up the brakes 6 times including when I hit the last one.

Hit it with the bottom right section of my nose, broke where it connects to the rest of the nose, a bit of the paint came off. Could of been worse but now I have to decide if I wanna get a new bumper....

Deer hunting is harder than it sounds, you must driving at night when they are really moving. They are a nocturnal animal meaning if you dont see one the first or last 1/2 hour of season your screwed

^^facepalm to the max...deer are absolutely not nocturnal animals...omfg...i think that may be a quote meant for a sig...

deer are the most active in the dusk and dawn times...not at night...like most animals deer sleep at night...unless they are very hungry then they will wander around looking for food...they are absolutely NOT nocturnal animals...if you even try to argue that they are i will slap you lmao

You must hunt somewhere with no deer then........I could easily get 15 deer in 3 days without stepping foot off my property. I could probably shoot half that many just by opening a window.

Almost hit a couple coming home from Zenders last night. This after just getting my car back after hitting a monster raccoon. $1500 bill from that one.

I had one charge out of the woods last fall and ram into the side of my car while I was driving down my road. That one did almost $2000 in damage by the time it was done.

was riding with my dad from a camp ground back to the yacht club at lake carlye in Illinois and its in a huge stae park / protected area the state will let farms live and farm there but they have to leave 20% of their crop standing after harvest for the critters to eat so theres a lot of freaking deer there to say the least and anyway infront of us was a dodge 1500 going to the same place and out of no where this huge freaking deer just murderballs the crap out of this truck lifted the the wheels on that side off the ground and nearly pushes the thing off the road. The truck was totaled out because the thing actually bent the frame never seen anything like it in my life deer are strange animals for sure

When you have a chance to pounce on somebody you sure do capitalize....to the max.

Deer can be active at any time during the day. I wouldn't say they are nocturnal, but I wouldn't "OMFG" if somebody said that they are either. They're opportunists, their movement is largely based on their interaction with humans. If we are around, they find it safer to feed at night. Which is why if they're around a town or city, you seem them out at night so often.

Yikes yea you're lucky it isnt worse. I almost had a close call the other night. Coming home late night from a friends on some back roads. I was driving at a good click since theres no one on the road at that time. I starting going up this hill, and as soon as i crest it i see 5 blurry bodies. Then 5 pairs of glowing eyes looking at me sitting right in the middle of the road. My brakes locked up, and thankfully they ran out of the way...

Now il think twice when going home late at night cruising at a fast speed

get some HID head lights it will drastically help you vision and maybe avoid a couple but when they dart out of the woods ur screwed!

Maybe you should actually learn facts before you run off at the mouth.

Deer ARE primarily nocturnal.

White Tailed Deer

I could keep posting links all day long.

I've had several run ins with deer, so have a lot of people I know. And guess what. Every single time, its been AT NIGHT.

if they were asleep at night you wouldn't be able to go out deer poaching, now would ya? not that thats cool, but you never hear about a deer that ran in front of a car in broad daylight. they hide all day.

deer are on the bottom of the food chain and are paranoid for a reason, its how they survive.

unless they live in a county park and feel real safe. i saw about 8 deer walking around the pond here at my local county park, van saun park,(in Paramus NJ, hustling suburbia, rt 4 and 17 hwy's are a short walk from the park) i was shocked to see them there, then they crossed the park road and blended into the wooded area, cool sight i must say. as long as they dont hit my car or eat my bushes im a live and let live kind a guy.

sorry slow...but where im from...deer dont hunt with the bats and owls lol...but u are right with your description

deer don't hunt, they are the prey lmao, they eat grass and bushes, like as in vegetarians, they are not meat eaters.

hey Bambi, lets go hunt some small cats and dogs tonight! lolololololololol

Even in parks they are mainly nocturnal. I have a National Historic Site 2 miles from my house and have pulled up in there at 1am and watched 100+ deer feed.

Apparently monteboy hasn't ever heard of people spotting deer either. That's when you go out at NIGHT with a high powered spot light and go looking for deer. There have been many occassions I have went out around 10-11pm and saw 300+ deer feeding in one night.

I've seen as many as 200 deer in one field on private, but hunted, land in a night of spotting.

But, no, deer aren't nocturnal.

Actually 4 of the 5 deer Ive hit in my life were in the middle of the day. More than likely they were spooked out of the woods from a hunter though.
And thats the answer. The only time deer really move during the day is if something kicks them up.
