Intercooler install questions

I got the wbody store ic install kit, im trying to figure out how the hoses should be routed. would the hot coolant from the core go into the top or the bottom of the heat exchanger? and would my resovoir go between the pump and the core, the core and the heat exchanger or between the heat exchanger and the pump?

Thinking about it, the most likely cause of increased pressure is a leaking core which is seeing boost.

This would suggest the surge tank should be after the core.

Also having a REAL reservoir would be a great idea seeing as you'd thus have more coolant to warm up, thus more time before the coolant heats up.

Coolant always flows into a heat exchanger at the top. That way the pump pulls from the bottom and there's always fluid there, even if the system is not 100% full.

thank you both, i got it all on the car, went from bottom of heat exchanger to pump inlet, then from pump to core, core to resovoir then to the top of the heat exchanger, just need to wire up the pump to my relay and it will be ready to go

i wired up my bosch pump and turned it on for a second and it seems really loud, im not sure what normal is, anyone have a video of the pump sound?

thats cuz u got air in the system, bleed it well

Make sure its got fluid.

Its very quiet when its got fluid.

When its dry, yes, its quite loud.

well theres the problem theres nothing in it, i just ran it for a second to make sure the relay worked

your pump should be loud enough to hear if your cars off and thats about it...

I'm scared to run it without fluid.

Does it rely on coolant for lubrication?

My pump is air cooled anyways.... no fogs FTW.

its going to be really close to closing with spacers but even if it does i bet it hits if motor rocks at all

it wont hit, i have the same s2 kit with gen5 blower

So it won't hit with cradle spacers? And is your hood from ascd?
