Top Swap'n Question

I had the same problem with a friend. Wanted to run a 3.0 or 3.2 on a non intercooled s1x setup with a very weak fuel setup, told him he needs to get a bigger pulley multiple times. Car was put together, I was in a different city and was planning on tuning it that weekend/next and told him to baby it, unplug the bbv and just take it easy for the breakin. Next day he had burnout pics on facebook in multiple locations and the day afer it blew up. Would have been a great car.

LULz at people at CGP didn't know they were powdered.

Such great minds there.

He was talking about the fact that 04 L26's having L36 rods, people always thought all L26's having powdered rods.

Don't knock the clubgp turbo section, there are a few trolls but most info there is tried and true.

Don't get me wrong, not saying there aren't legit people and knowledge...you would just think with ALL of the info there, they would've already known that.

No reason with a SSIC he shouldnt be able to run a 3.3-3.4 with larger injectors. With a Cam no reason he shouldnt be in the 3.2/3.1 range

Doesn't make any sense why somebody would spend all that time & money but not buy a 3.4/3.5 pulley to get the ball rolling.

You'd think, but doesn't sound like he has a wideband or the proper tuning skills to be smart enough to start with a larger pulley before this one blows up as well.

Stock GT fuel pump + stock GT injectors... ****ty IC, shot in the dark AFR...

Poof!

What are stock GT pumps good for anyways?

I took care of injectors from the start but..... fuel pump? Been ignoring that one due to complications related to the lack of EASY aftermarket solutions.

Screw worrying about rods given his track recod and history of blown engines 3.4 at the smallest to start!! Umm I dont care what pulley you use if they keep blowing up ummmm......... I'd fix the blowing up part 1st!!!!!!

GT pump flows about the same as a gtp pump. The injectors are going to be a must have. he will max the l36/26 injectors on a 3.8 l32/67's will take him to 3.5 3.4
