3800 Rebuild Book

Are there any books out there (other than service manuals and such) on how to rebuild the 3800 engine? I found a couple for the 60* engine family but I havent seen anything on the 3800 engine.

I figure Im going to tear into this thing eventually or build up another, I might as well has some other perspectives on the process other than the factory manuals.

I dont know of any Scotty, I have always gone by the service manuals and have rebuild at least 10-15 of them over the years and zero problems. I dont ever forsee a book coming into existance either as the engines are cheap and most see as a throw away engine and just buy another used one VS rebuilding what they have. The 3800 community just seems too small yet and the engine is great in stock form. There is a lot of tech stuff about engine stuff on 3800pro as there is a section for lots of various engine tech and some of the guys from down under chime in now and then so you get a larger variety of info and what is available outside of the US

Well that sucks. The 60* community seems even smaller to me and they have their own book, LOL.

Oh well, I like books like that because they usually have a lot of good insight, not just the technical details you get from the manuals. Like open this hole up to the next size or if you need this part it can be found for this, this and that as well, that sorta thing.

Oh well, guess its time to become a 3800pro member.

3rd gens had 2.8's early 4th gens were 3.4's late 4th had the 3.8 (last coup[le of years, and few guys mod them, they like to rice those ones instead)
