This lady just called down from a room.

Her "My husband can't breathe and he's been tossing and turning all night."
Me "I'm sorry about that Ma'am, is there something wrong with him that you would like me to call an ambulance."
Her "No I just wanted to tell you that"
Me "..................um.....okay, well is it something you would like to change to another room"
Her "No I can't, would you like me to wake up two kids and old lady just to move them in the middle of the night? I have the A/c on"
Me "Okay, well I do apologize about the problem, Only thing I can offer is to move you to another room."
Her "Its just stuffy in here and the A/C is on and the window only opens a little ways, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in."
Me (I'm still not understanding the problem really) "Ma'am I don't have anything else for you, the A/C is working?"
Her "Yes, Just forget it."


I'm really not sure what the problem is, just sounds like they don't stay in other hotels often or are just hunting for a discount (its 36* out). I really don't understand her problem, I think she wanted a 2nd room for free so that 5 people weren't crammed in a room and that's not about to happen. Stupid ****ing people :th_angry2:

I mean I get it, you don't like the room....Not my problem, this hotel is one of the cheapest hotels in Albany and we are ranked in the top 10 out of 60 hotels in Albany now. They have cleaned up the hotel a lot, I do give them props for cleaning up this place. But just because your not at home in your own bed is not a reason you should get something for free, and that is exactly what these people were after. A valid complaint is not "This place is like my house and I don't like sleeping on this bed cause its not like my bed at home." :rolleyes:
 


I really hate people that stay in a hotel, say nothing about whats wrong with the room the entire stay and then try for a discount.

People that just complain to get a discount need to be shot, you want to know why prices in hotels are getting higher...this is why.

Straight up.. if somethings wrong, speak up right away..

reminds me of people in the restaurants.. (Mom works at Panera Bread)

She tells me stories of people that eat 3/4 of a sandwich and come to her and tell her that they didn't like it.. not that anything was wrong with it.. that they didn't like what THEY ordered.. the go buy "the customer comes first" so they take it back and get them something else.. that's bullsh1t man..

or when somebody at my store comes and buys a jug of juice.. drinks more then half of it.. comes back and says something is wrong.. and when we say fine go get another one.. they go grab a different kind of juice.. when we tell them you have to take the same one... they take the old one they drank half of back,,

seriously wtf is up with people, do they have no shame??
 
Working at my job in a grocery store, I once watched a lady smash and bang a box of nutrigrain bars, then 5 minutes later came to me as I was stocking and asked me to discount them for her because the box was damaged.

When I told her that I saw her beating up the box she flew into a rage and started yelling about "How dare you accuse me of something like that"

She wanted to talk to the manager and as I went to get him I told him the story, he told her she was on camera smashing the box...

So her face got all red, and she bought the beaten to hell box at regular price and stormed out yelling about crooked store policies
 
the most famous phrase in the auto repairt industry is "ever since ya....." did brakes, myt ac stopped working... ya uhhh completely unrelated.... did brakes my car started running rough, radio didnt work, check engine light came on and it cranks slow....


we need to mass produce a BULLSH!T card and begin throwing them at stupid people.....

But yes, some people just need a good slap in the face. I cant think of a time when I broke something or made up some BS story to get something free, it just doesn't feel right. I feel better knowing i paid than to "steal" something.

i stayed at a holiday inn a few years back on a working trip, i had to bunk with a co worker, we ordered dinner from the restaurant down stairs and watched tv for a while, we were lounged out on our beds, and when we went to go to bed mike,(co worker) pulls the bedspread off and there was a 3 foot round piss stain through the sheets!!!!! he flipped the f out, called the desk, instant free room lol
 
LOL.. Scott that sounds like there was a real issue.

I worked fast food for too long as a teenager/early 20's. Gotta love old folks that ate slow and after an hour came back up with 3 fries in the bag and said "they are cold". I always understood that the nearly hour old fries would be cold, but hey. Policy said give them fresh fries. The 3/4 eaten sandwich that didn't taste good was always a laugh.

Working as a mechanic on the side with a buddy is great. We did LIM gaskets on my sisters 95 3.1L GM three years ago. This past winter she said the heat wasn't working etc... "been that way since Dan worked on it and did those gaskets". Uh..no retard. The thermostat had failed open, I replaced it and told her she was funny. Later I relayed the info to Dan and he rolled his eyes as well.

I work daily in an office. It cracks me up at how people chat most of the day away and do nothing but watercooler. Then they complain about deadlines that are impossible etc. Uh.. hello...???? where were you for the first 4 hours of the day?

I work at a GM dealership. In parts, but I still get to roll my eyes and listen to the honda customers that come in after they had work done, complaining that something else is broken now because of what WE did. We usually just tell them after that to go on down the road, there is a actual Honda dealership 20 miles away, but we are closer ROFLMAO
