some small mods for my new grand prix



Just to put into perspective...

Erik (99prixgt) had a DP, HV3, and a Tune IIRC...and went mid 15's. If I was to do strictly an N/A build...without going internal would be...

If I was breaking into the motor...I'd get my hook up on ported heads, run a GT2 cam, custom length pushrods with 130lb valve springs, double roller timing chain, have the heads/block milled down to increase compression even more and run JE's 9.9:1 Compression pistons...so I'd have well over 10:1. That thing with 3.69 gearing and a built transmission with a big stall should be well into the 13's.

But now I'm just being dumb because I wouldn't do anything N/A...save my money for a built transmission and buy some slicks and put a intercooled Z3 Turbo kit on it and go 11's.
 
Just a side note.... I bought my PCM from 3800 and they have yet to send me my core refund even after I talked to the guy on the phone and he assured me that they would be sending me a check in the mail in the next few days (about 4 weeks ago) :th_shakinghead2:
 
i'm new here, my name is nick, well i finally upgraded to a sportier car and got a 2004 grand prix gt2 (all black), I am not a mechanic by any means, but my dad is. I would love to do some basic mods to my car, but nothing to expensive since i'm on a small budget and its my daily driven car. It will be done over the summer.

with headers,cone filter,tune,andhv3 you will run stock gtp timesso around 230-240 hp at the crank not wheels

Have you tried filing a dispute with your credit card company?

Sweet, that's what I was hoping for.
 
my gt stock ran mid 16s after i added dp,plog,Hv3,and cone filter poly mounts zzp shift kit and l67 tb wit spacer i ran a 15.2 but the i top swaped to stock 3.8 pully and whent 14.8
 
Talked to them on the phone again today. Apparently the check was sent but I never received it so they are sending me another tomorrow and should have it by Thursday
