mutiple electrical problems popping up...

Hello everyone, I have some questions that I hope someone will be able to help me with!

But first, some background knowledge:
-I have a 2008 Grand Prix, 6 cyl.
-About a year ago I installed an aftermarket AUX port for the stock monsoon radio.

Shortly after I installed the AUX port, the lights on the shifter stopped working. I used to be able to tap the area to get them to turn back on, but now that does not work. Could there be a loose connection? Where should I look?

Lately I have noticed that the dash lights do not change to "day" mode when it is bright out. They stay dim as if it is night. What could cause this? Could it be related to my other problems?

And finally, today while driving to work, the air bag light came on. It has been turning on and off randomly ever since. I read online that the weight sensor on the passenger seat might have a loose connection, I am going to check those connections tonight. Any other ideas?

By the way, this AUX adapter was recommended by crutch-field.
 


I would say it is probably a lose wire causing the light in the shifter to be going out and I would just pull the center console out and look around it. As for the dash lights problem I would say that the sensor for it is probably shot but dont quote me on that.
 
Depending how good you are with a DMM...

If you paid to have the car electrically modified, take it back to them and scream in their face about your electrical problems.
 
I would take the aux port out (return the system to normal) and see if the problems disappear.

Do you have wiring schematics for the car?

I will try removing the AUX port.

I do not have the schematics, do you know where I could find that?
