Anyone work on central heat and air??? I'm a tight ass and we are temporarily out of cash. I can't and kinda won't call a heater guy. Our heater will kick on but when it shuts off, it won't kick back on by itself. I either have to turn it off, then right back on. Or, I turn it way down then back up. It always comes back on when I do this. It just wont kick back on by itself when it's time again. Any help or theories will be greatly appreciated!!! It really sucks waking up in a 65 degree house.

Thermostat bad?? No frills model cost about 20 bucks... or upgrade to a programmable for 45...
I don't use the furnace much anymore. Been burning corn via my corn stove for the 3rd winter now. Its currently burnin away about 15 feet from me here in my basement and its 77 degrees. my nuts are toasty...

Does the corn stove have an open fire? (chestnuts roasting on an open fire) I had too! I know that was pretty gay.
Thank You for the info!!! I'm pretty sure we have an extra one around here somewhere. I bet I don't find it. I probably threw it away thinking we would never need it.
Is that something I can do myself? Oh yeah, I'm a girl. If that makes a difference. My husband is all about paying someone, so he never has to f**k with anything. NOT me!! If there is a slight chance I can fix it, I'm there. I don't trust ANYbody. I'm always sure I'm gonna be molested. Guess I'll molest myself.haha Thanks again1! I'll let you know.
Oh yeah, if thats not the problem, your fired!

Molest yourself?
I will hold back my comments...
If I remember there are only 5 wires behind the tstat. They are color coded. Don't let them touch. Or touch them for that matter. Best to power down the furnace. There should be a circuit breaker in the circuit breaker panel that says "furnace". Turn it off and there also should be another power switch next to the furnace. You can power it off there, as well.
My cornhole, err uhh, corn stove has a glass window in the door so you can watch the fire burn. its like 27* outside right now...

I was thinking thermostat as well.

Oh, dont go out and try to find one unless the store is right across from your house. I dont wanna here in the news "Woman found frozen in Grand Prix after spending hours lost looking for hardware store".

"Said woman was listening to 'chesnuts roasting on an open fire'. She was frozen with a smile on her face..."

Mine has only 2 wires really can't mess em up. LOL And if you get a new one it usually comes with instructions.

Ha fricken Ha. I fixed it! Last night Troy said to me, wait till Monday and call someone. He's not here right now. I fixed it.
P.S. I'll be taking donations if my house burns down.
I'll wait a week before I tell him I jacked with it.
