Does he realize there is no such thing as an 06 GTP? Sure there are supercharged 06 GP's, but the GTP name is gone.

I'd like to add that I hate people who think race fuel can increase horsepower. That is all.
its a g6...so yes there is.
Race fuel can add Horsepower, Even with out a tuner. Say you have 4 degrees of KR and the race gas eliminates that. Guess what thats more power. But were not talking a huge differance.
My bad. I missed the G6 part somehow
Octane does not add horsepower, period. Octane is knock preventer. If you have knock and the ECU pulls timing then you are not running enough octane to begin with. You could put 100 octane in a car that only needs 93 octane to prevent knock then you will LOSE horsepower.
You can look at it however you want and octane does NOT add horsepower. If you are tuned for a race fuel mix to need 97 octane, then thats what you need to not get knock. If you modifiy the car and are running more boost than pump fuel can handle, then all the octane is doing is preventing knock so the KR doesn't kick in.I disagree, Octane in itself doesnt add HP, but its effects do. And most cars come from the factory with Knock retard. The orginal debate was does race fuel increase HP. The answer is yes, if your car has knock retard. Which on this platform, Some cars seeing as much as 6 or more stock then it sure would.
Apples to oranges. The intake allowed it to flow better and got more air into the engine.Heres an example of your argument. I put a intake on my car and it added HP, It wasnt the intake that did it was the CFM increase.
But in all actuallity the Intake allowed the CFM to increase. thus adding more power..... Same kinda deal

Take the KR out of the equation. Lets talk old school muscle. 12:1 compression, etc etc. There's no ECU, no KR. Now run 87 octane in it and its going to be at the same or near the same horsepower level on 87 as it is on 100 octane, but it will be knocking like a MF.
Now go put 100 octane back in and the only difference is no knock. Now tell me octane adds horsepower.
