Retros get pricey. I would definitely get a spare set of headlights to do your retro on so you don't f*ck up your stock headlights so keep that in mind when factoring the cost.

and that is not including the extra headlights. Kinda hard to do without unless you have a extra car to drive. Also nice to have a stock set incase the cops gine you problems, you can just switch back

I personally would not spend that much on that retro set. But to each his own
if you spend a little time you should be able to get the whole kit for under $200 minus new lens(just look around)
Not sure what pricing the retrofit source will come down to but i know what i can get these items for elsewhere. (your choise)

MORE RANDOM BLINDAGE

I haven't wired the highbeams (cut off shield solenoids) yet. I can't wait to see what that looks like.

Random blindage huh.... I LOVE IT.

After driving tonight i am considering a dual set up like yours. I have 6000k hid in stock low beam location and 3000k hid's in my driving lights. I was flashed by about 50 people and i could not even flash back. When i do, the high beams are not warmed up yet and the driving lights shot off. I think i like the ability you have to say "oh ya, here is the sun" POW.
May need to really think about this.

Oh you have HID's in the highbeams? I guess I do now too, lol. Yeah stock headlights are bad with HID's as far as blinding people. Oddly enough I pushed the envelope and drove around with all lights on in traffic and wasn't flashed by anyone. Even with the cutoff shields I can't see how people weren't getting blinded with the drivinglights. Guess I gotta wire those highbeam solenoids now.

your driving around was low beam only right?? And you said you aimd the high beam set a touch higher. I was thinking a little lower just to ensure no 5-0 issues. I may risk it though. I am 34 with a good record so even if i do get pulled over i would hope for just a warning.. (only if they could catch me on my bike) i would be in trouble.

Looks good man, people just don't realize the work that goes into these things. To have each headlight aimed and setup the exactly the same is almost impossible. Putting 4 of these things in your housing is no easy task I think yours look great.

Oh yeah, when you get all those bi-xenon wires hooked up people will be at the mercy of your hi beam switch. You won't have any problems helping people shut their bright lights off coming at you!!!!!

Yeah I had all four projectors on but no highbeams. I know you can aim projector headlights a little higher than a reflector headlight because of the cutoff shields but these things were right in oncoming car's windshields lol. No one flashed me though.

Thanks man, coming from someone who has done this before I appreciate your input. I almost shat myself when the driving lights lined up too. I'm gonna thank lady luck for that one.

LOL, yeah I am only really gonna use the driving lights on rural roads but it's nice to have highbeams too lol.

I hate thinking i would have to spend more money on this retro but it may be worth it in the end. Even if i sold the car i could proably sell these and get most of my money back. HMMMMMMMMMM. to order or not to order....that is my quandry.

Did you just wire your relay trigger for the 2nd set to a switch in the car or did you do something more fancy.

WOW clean, that is some awesome output. if that is just 1 set i may just finish my single set and see how it is. I can always add a 2nd projector set later.

Right now the foglights trigger my driving lights because I need to pick up a switch and some wire. I will have the driving lights on their own switch with the parking lamps as a trigger. I am going back to halogen fog lights after all is said and done and I am currently using those ballasts for the driving lights.

Yeah one set is good man, a second set is for the clinically insane, such as myself.
