So I finally sold my Cobalt SS and after ~8 months of wanting to get into a scooby I found a STi. I actually haven't even picked it up yet, but I'm about to leave my house in an hour or so to head to Roanoke, VA to pick it up. I'm bringing it back to Ohio tomorrow, after taking a detour on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully I'll get some nice pictures on the trip back, and I'll also post some pictures once I get the car home and cleaned up. Basic info: 2005 Obsidian Black Pearl Impreza WRX STi. 62,000 miles, very clean. Mods: Kartboy shifter bushings, Short throw shifter, 30% tint, Killer B oil pickup tube. I don't have a whole lot planned right now, probably just going to pick up an accessPORT and a turbo back exhaust for now. Here's a few teasers from the previous owner to hold you off until I get my own pictures:

oh you, jerk. how much are you paying for it with that many miles? i guess around $16k private party, $18-20k from a dealer?

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

Haha I said it was going to happen. Took a little longer than I wanted it to and there was that little escapade with the Cobalt, but I'm glad everything's finally worked out. And yeah, I paid $16K for it, private seller.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

awesome, looks like i am pretty good on my pricing. good deal for that too. so long as the owner did all the planned maintenance then the car should be good to go for the next 150k miles. was the timing belt changed?

Not yet but Subaru recommends the timing belt be changed between 90K-100K miles. The carfax does show a 30K mile service and 60K mile service and he said he's kept all the service records so I can see exactly what that all entails but it seems to be very well sorted.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

have you dont your research into modding them? i know that thing isn't going to be stock, right?

It's all stock motor wise right now. It has shifter bushings, a STS, tint and a stronger oil pickup tube (preventative).

I'm definitely getting an accessport and tuning it to stage 1 (255 AWHP, 280 ft-lbs), if I pick up a turboback exhaust I'll go stage 2. Stage 2 should put me somewhere around 275 AWHP and 315 Ft-lbs. After that I'll probably leave it alone for the most part until I'm done with school. Then again that could change.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

stage 2 cars are pretty quick, i wont lie. however, if i had the ability to mod one there is no way in hell id ever stay on the stock turbo.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

Stop being a bad influence :P. I already told myself I was going to stay on the stock turbo until it needs to be replaced. Once I start upgrading turbos then I have to get into injectors and bigger TMICs/FMIC's and all kinds of good stuff I shouldn't spend money on right now.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

I love it, congrats. You're probably all smiles right now, I know how you feel. I wanted a cobra for about a year before I finally got mine. Black STI+gold BBS wheels= RACE:th_thumbsup-wink:

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

Congrats! Glad to see you finally got what you wanted.

Thanks man :D I think it's for the better. I just had a bad experience with the SS, personally I really like the SS/TC's.

congrads, im not a big scoobie guy but i like :)

Thanks :th_thumbsup-wink:

Waiting makes you appreciate it more. And yeah, I'm a happy little **** right now, lol. I drove a used and abused 05 STi with 105K miles at a dealership just to drive one and even it didn't disappoint.

I'm definitely feeling the gold BBS too. A few people are trying to convince me to murder it but it's a STi, gold wheel belong on it.

Looks good kyle...this time I read and understood your thread LOL

Haha thanks Drunkie.

Re: My 2005 WRX STi

Oh man, if it were mine, 100% gold BBS. I've seen a few murdered out STI's, and they look ok, gold bbs wheels are just moar ballin.
