Yes after I seal them up I also go around the complete headlight with a silicone bead. I press it down into the gap until I see no gap then wipe clean. Go thru a lot of paper towels but it guarantees no water. I haven't gotten any moisture in mine to this date.
I'm the same way. I had water issues with my last retro. I kept tearing em apart and resealing em. Coudn't figure it out. Then I realized it was because I didn't seal the back around the projectors. Water was pouring in from that channel above the headlights. After I sealed that I never had any more problems.
