Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Oil Pan/Tranny Pan Swap?

Right... Which is why I don't mention pulling the rack bolts, ps lines etc that are hooked to the sub. :th_thumbsup-wink:

K - I've never been comfortable with "deep" mechanic work, so I'm glad you mentioned that. I can do it, I just don't trust myself sometimes.

No worries..this isn't deep. This is just the stuff around the edges to get to the deeper stuff. :th_thumbsup-wink:

keep in mind that cars are put together very simply. One bolt/nut at a time. If you can lefty loosey, righty tighty then you can typically take almost anything on the car ans swap it or fix it. :th_peaceout:

Keep in mind other than the oil pan. A few other undercar spots that will leak as well is the rear main seal and the timing cover. Rear main seal is the largest and if you are already there it may not be a bad thing to take care of. ;)

Have fun.

1000 Lb. Capacity Engine Support Bar

this may help. i will definitely buy one of these if i ever need to drop my subframe. parts and this tool will still be much cheaper then any shop

Used one of those (not the exact one but similar) when doing a tranny swap on a Saturn SL2, works good.....But Bill's method with the chain and 4x4 works for free, if you have chain and wood in the garage that is :th_thumbsup-wink:
