How To: Install 1.8 Roller Rockers on L67

Gmpartsdirect.com Part# [FONT=&quot]12589774

Those are L92 springs. You will need different retainers to get the correct height though IIRC.

When you order or if you order those springs off GMpartsdirect you are going to have to order 15 since they come in packs of 5. Just to let you know. Or you can try to find someone who has bought them already and has two extras.

Man I wish I would have known the 25 ft lb number for reinstalling the rockers when I was putting my L67 together. The gm specs are 11 ft lbs plus 90 degrees! ouch I thought they were gonna break!

Sorry for the old thread, but Im workin on this now and I need help before I go further.

I got the fronts done, workin on the back now, got the valve cover loose but it wont come out. I've been told by many people that the alternator doesnt need to be removed, and the tensioner assembly with the coolant elbows doesnt need to be removed... and none of that is listed in this howto... he even shows a pic with the rear vc off and the alternator in place, but I just cant seem to get an angle that the valve cover will wiggle out.

Is it possible do finish the job without pulling the coolant elbows and tensioner assembly out? A lot of people said I dont need to... It's an l32.
