97-03 springs vs 04+ springs



springs are the same that you'd use. however, for a couple years youd have to swap the strut assembly and lower control arms. doing so would allows you to run AGX's though.
 
the OEM springs are actually not the same, HOWEVER you can use the springs on either year.

Keep in mind that the 04+ sit a little higher and are heavier, so using a 97-03 springs will give you a larger than advertized drop
 
I would run B&G personally, will give a bit more even drop on the 04s or it should and it will make it a nice ride height with about 0 wheel gap

The SSC site lists them as 1.8"/ 1.6" F/R


Did ZZP order the ones they have to a different set of sepcifications?

No ALL 97-03 springs will fit our cars, thats why the 97-03 guys can use our struts and vice versa.

Its cause our cars weight more.


The SSC's in reality drop us about 2" all around, the front sits higher then the rear though
 


Anyone put 04+ springs on the 97-03 GP's? Can't drop my car due to the road conditions and approach angles here in NYC, but am trying to eliminate the squatting rear end on these cars and would also like to get a stiffer and better handling car. Replaced the struts with the AGX's and was very dissapointed, 6 months after the install the adjust ability was gone and back to the OEM shock feeling. Was thinking Bilstein or Koni but are hard to find, anyone have any experience with these?
 
there are actually rear Heightening springs. you can get the Olds Intrigue OEM or there are companies that make "audio" springs to keep the back end up
 


Please explain lol wouldn't the intrigue lowering springs be stiffer than grand prix lowering springs. My goal here is to lower maybe 1 inch or so.

Will the gxp struts fit an 03 gp?
