• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

shot it through this gap with the insulation, and cut a small slit in the door controls grommet to pass it through so everything stays weather tight
IMG00043-20110102-1312.jpg

pull back carpet and tuck in all the way to the trunk
IMG00044-20110102-1312.jpg

tada! perfect reach to the amp screwed to the back of the driver side back seat

IMG00038-20101230-1353.jpg

ok... thats all i had time for today... tune in next time when after i get my new deck in the mail and finish hooking everything up :th_nanana:

i like the fender tuck. makes things easy. what deck ya waitin' on?

i need a sub and amp.. not having bass is boring, i already have RCAs and power cables ran too.

Theres a giant grommet on the passengers side floor panel... at least in 97-03's.

Can't see them making a different hole for the electrical harness.

You might want to consider playing with different sub orientations for the sake of sound.

I found the one you have posted there to be the least effective.

yeah, its not even powered up yet, i just have it sitting in the trunk, ill try it firing up, then as a last resort ill try facing rearward... but then i have to be careful what i let roll around in my trunk

Your better off firing up or rear if you aren't sealing off. If you want to fire forward & leave it there for a while, seal the trunk from the cab. that would be your best choice if you're wanting to be loud.

the direction you face it wont make any difference for the people in the rear.

up is also a bad idea because they'll just be pounding on your 6x9's all day and using 'em as passive radiators.

rearward = more volume at the drivers seat.

no matter what way you face it, if its firing in the trunk, you're going to piss people off.

Know what? Just fool around with it and see which one you like best.

Then leave it that way.

yeah i had this set up in my jeep that i traded in on the grand prix, ive gotten tickets for it lol
its only a 450w rms alpine amp but its plenty for me, just want more bass than stock and seeing as i already had this stuff im good to go

but my dumb@ss didnt pull my kenwood deck out of my grand cherokee before i traded it

oh well... ill shoot pics of the deck install and probly a video of everything working

maybe ill make a deck install write up if there isnt one already?

what gauge wire is that?? looks thin, you might wanna upgrade at least to a 4gauge, i like 2gauge myself but its a lil expensive and yes face the woofer toward the trunk opening, gives the waves something to bounce off of.

Yup 2 15's to blown your pants off lol built by me and my dad

how the f**k did you SQUEEEEEEZZE 2 15's in grand prix trunk??!!!?

the only ones that come to mind that would actually sound good would be some old school kicker XPL's and treo SSi
