My car has black leather interior but I was starting to get bored with i. So I added some color. This took a friend and I about 5 hours of painting and waiting for it to dry. We used Krylon fusion spray paint. And I have four 15 inch red neons two under the dash and one under each bucket seat. Let me know what you think.

I melted the rubber off of my A/C knobs with a hair dryer and a pocket knife ( didn't do too good of a job but looks really cool at night) so that my knobs glow red.

I personally do not like it. But it is good that you do. The knob thing is pretty sweet though, very interesting.

I'm usually one to empress 'different' but this is way over the top to much red should of left the pillars black and if anything just painted the dash/console and speaker grills so it's not over done. Did you sand anything down reason why I ask is you can tell it's been painted and not smooth at all. I recommend if your going to paint anything in future use SEM products paint makes everything flow better. One day ill post pics of my re-done interior. But to each there own as long as your happy with it screw my opinion :)

I like everything but the tapout floor mats. I hope to god you don't have tapout writing on the car windows.

Thanks I tried to make it stand out without overdoing it. I'm not sure how many coats we did all together. We just kept painting until it looked good lol. We used almost four cans of paint so I would imagine it was quite a few. I'm not really liking the vents anymore. I think I'm going to get some vents out of a junk grand prix the next time I get the chance.

And no Tapout writing on the windows. Just the floormats and I have a Tapout license plate frame. But the floormats are going soon. The white on them is so hard to keep clean and stains very easily.

I agree with this very much, Everytime I see someone with somthing tapout I feel the urge to laugh at them or beat the crap out of them and then laugh:th_nanana:

But you did do a good job painting I'm not a fan of it but it looks like it was done well.:th_thumbsup-wink:

the interior looks good for what it is. personally, i wouldn't have done as much red, but looks like you took your time with it.
since you painted the vents and the removable dash piece, i would say to paint the dash piece a gloss black so it accents the red vents more without the red overwhelming.

i don't understand why people feel compelled to advertise multi-million dollar corporations without compensation. i understand wearing a pair of nikes, but to put a swoosh symbol on your rear window? srsly?

Its your car but thats screams rice to me. Way to much red. Everytime I see a painted interior I just think young kid in a honda

I'm not sure if I would like to paint it gloss black because then I would have three different colors, the stock dark gray, red, and gloss black. I just think that would be too busy. I think that if I went back to stock dark gray vents, it will help break the red apart. And would probably be about ten dollars at the local junkyard.

trust me, gloss black looks tits over any other color aside from the special edition silver. not saying it would for you, but i see what you're saying and would definitely break up the monotony in that part of the dash.

Ew. I'm sorry, but there's no way anyone has ever made interior look better with spray paint. Very very ricer-ish, especially on a half-assed job of spraying only what can be easily removed.

Well I guess the majority of forum users don't like painting the interior. I do feel as though I overdid it on the red. But I don't want to go back to it being completely dark gray. Thank-you for all the constructive criticism.
