Well I have my aeroforces hooked up and holy KR, I got 5 degrees at WOT, not too impressed. The ONLY mod I have done so far is a CAI. Need help guys. I have headers and exhaust but that comes later on this month. Would using colder plugs help get rid of some of it until I get them on? I know L32's are more prone to knock but damn 5 degrees? HELP!

its cold outside... more prone to knock.. headers should make it all go away. what plugs are u running now?

like 01 said... u should be fine... but any KR sucks.. id throw in some autolite copper 605's and see if it brings it down any if u want.. plugs are cheap, go to 104's if it doesnt drop any.

L32's aren't prone to knock anymore than anything else...its the fact you have a GenV...and think about it...you've got factory exhaust...with an intake, brining in more air than it can get rid of...get some exhaust mods...that'll get rid of your knock.

Thanks guys. I'm all paranoid cause I don't need to be blowing a third engine.... Especially since it's my daily driver.

Chipped pistons on both my 98's. Don't want nor need it to happen again. I plan on "lighty" modding this one. I think I'll stick to headers exhaust, CAI, wires and that is it. No drop in pullies, well maybe :-)

GenV can be more "prone" to knocking...a 3.4" setup on a GenIII car is about a 3.6" on your '04...OR...you put headers/intake on it...and have it custom tuned with more timing...then it'll be faster than a pulley'd car anyways.
