wanting to install SLP Rocker arms and pushrods

was just wondering what kind of gains I will see from this. also wondering from people that have installed these if there is anything i need to know. I got headers a few months back and had to deal with the 02snsr placement on the aftermarket. Was just wondering if there are any "hiccups" in the process of putting rockers and rods in. Also do I need to have a cam to run these? how will it run after installation with stock cam?

Your choice is either high ratio rockers...OR a cam. I'm assuming since your getting SLP's that they are 1.80:1 Ratio. If you want you could put in a cam...BUT...you'll need a pretty beefy valvetrain as the lift will be pretty high with that rockers ratio. Things I recommened you get with the install...

A small bottle of RTV to put on the corners of the Valve Cover Gaskets for re-install
New Valve Cover Gaskets WITH new grommets
Comp Cams Re-Usable Rocker Bolts
Red Thead Locker...just a dab on the rocker bolts...because sometimes, they like to come loose...EVEN if torqued correctly and cleaned right the first time.
Brake Clean and Q-Tips...after you remove the stock rockers...blast all that build up out if there is any.

I was going to go for valve cover gstks anyways since i was in there and dont know what there condition is having 160k. What about valve springs, can i keep it stock? I dont really want to go for the cam at the moment. what kind of gains will I see? where in MO are you BlueGTP? St charles here

Liberty, KC area...rockers are easy peasy...you'll notice a decently better pull up top with them compared to the stock 1.60:1 ratio...I'd say around 20 horse give or take a few. That thing knock free on the 3.4"? If not...the rockers should help it a bit too.

I got the knock down considerably with the headers but im sure theres still a little there. You know those knocking retards are difficult to get rid of

why not pulley up to a 3.6 for now? then put your rockers in and scan it and you'll be safer to put a 3.5 or 3.4 back on

3.4" is intercooler area for a GenV car...you might try a 3.6" as it is the most common pulley choice.
